GP Earnings

 

2018/19

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in Merridale Medical Group in the last financial year was £86,593 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 1 full time GPs, 6 part time GPs and 1 locum who worked in the practice for more than six months.”

2017/18

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.The average pay for GPs working in Merridale Medical Group in the last financial year was £81,915 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 3 full time GPs, 3 part time GPs and 2 locums who worked in the practice for more than six months.”

2016/17

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in Merridale Medical Group in the last financial year was £108,475. This is for 2 full-time GPs and 2 part-time GPs  and 2 locums who worked in the practice for more than six months” 

 2015/16

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in Merridale Medical Group in the last financial year was £92,017. This is for 6 full-time GPs and 2 part-time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months” 

2014/15

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in Merridale Medical Centre in the last financial year was £98,076. This was for 9 full time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months

However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earning is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgment about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
